Learning How To Clean Glass Pipes

If you have some glass pipes which need cleaning, you do not have to get the help of somebody. Doing it can be simply done using the following tips. Read on to know how to start with.

Removal of the particles that have lodge inside the thing is the first step to do and this is through turning the opening down and tapping it gently. Flushing the inside part with running water will also cause the removal of any stubborn dirt that has not yet been taken off. Careful holding of the wet object is important so that it would not be dropped or be slipped.

The usual method of cleaning and which is also the most tested on is through using rubbing alcohol. Get a resealable bag or the usually sandwich bag and have it be filled with alcohol enough for filling the bottom part. The solution should be sufficient in amount so that the object could be entirely submerged when it is placed in the bag.

If the thing has already been place and properly submerged in the bag, place it in the microwave and set the timer for about ten seconds. Bring the alcohol to boil but be alert because this could happen pretty fast. Do not let the entire thing be heated for a long time because the plastic might melt and the glass might t also be broken.

Then the bag will have to be taken out of the microwave and by then shake the whole thing so that the alcohol will get into the tube. By this, a lot of debris or dirt will be taken off but do not yet get the thing out of the plastic and soak it overnight to loosen hardened dirt. Be sure to seal it and wait about eight to ten hours.

When the thing has already been soaked for the required time, taking it out of the bag follows which should then be rinsed well with running water. Moreover, sometimes there will remain stubborn dirt which usually happens when cleaning is not regularly done. To take them off, get some pipe cleaners or some cotton balls which can also do the job.

Dry the object thoroughly before using it again to complete the entire cleaning process. Another way of doing it however includes that us of boiling water for individuals who do not prefer the use of alcohol. Obtain a small pot filed with an enough volume to cover the object and have it be placed on the stove.

Reduce the heat to allow the boiling water to simmer so that the thing can then be safely placed while ensuring that it is properly submerged. But before that, be certain that all the extra and unnecessary particles inside have already been removed ahead. Have it be simmered for twenty to thirty minuted.

In cleaning your glass pipes, be sure not to put them in boiling water if they are cold because it will cause their shattering but warm them first with your palms. If the boiling method will be use, expect that the entire house will be filled with a strong odor. Be sure to wash them well before using.
